Gloucester

Abbey was tasked with the complex job of providing access to all downpipes and windows into the corner of the main courtyard at Gloucester Cathedral. Extra care and consideration were required so as not to cause any damage to this 1300-year-old cathedral, all built via a 5m tower and 60m walkway.
The team were challenged with weight restrictions as no weight was allowed on the surrounding delicate roofs therefore all scaffold was built using beam work built off window ledges. In the meantime, the cathedral was open to the public.
Since this job Abbey has built up a relationship with Gloucester Cathedral and continues to work with them now and in the future on a wide-ranging variety of projects.
